What is a home reverse osmosis water filter system?
Reverse osmosis (RO) is a water treatment process that removes contaminants from water by separating water molecules using
Pressure is forced through a semi-permeable membrane. During this process, the impurities are essentially filtered out and
washed away, leaving behind clean, delicious drinking water.
How does a reverse osmosis water purifier work?
Reverse osmosis is a simple method of water filtration. In this process, water is forced through a semi-permeable
membrane to remove contaminants from the water. This process removes dissolved inorganic solids from the water.
What is removed by the reverse osmosis water filter system?
A reverse osmosis water filter system is known to remove 99% of the contaminants present in water. These include: - Chlorine and
Fluorine - Lead, arsenic, chromium, radium, barium, cadmium - Salts - Nitrates, sulfates and others - Sediments, dirt and rust - Heavy metals - Parasites -
volatile organic compounds (VOCs) - herbicides and pesticides - total dissolved solids (TDS)
Is this reverse osmosis water filter system suitable for well water?
We do not recommend using well water as a source for our RO systems.
The reasons for this are as follows:
1. Large particles.
Compared to municipal tap water, well water contains many large particles that easily clog the filters and reduce their lifespan. Please note that the filters will need to be replaced more frequently even if you have installed a pre-filter system.
2. Composition
The well water has a very complicated composition, and some of them (apart from the large particles) can cause the Filter or internal valve may become clogged and prevent the RO system from performing normally.
3. Water pressure
The well water may not provide the feed water pressure required for the RO system (minimum 14.5 psi). In addition, the Water pressure is even lower after passing through pre-filter systems.

How often do I need to change the RO filter?
CF Filter: 12 months or 1,100 gallons, whichever comes first. This may vary depending on usage of filtered water. MRO Filter: 24
Months or 3,300 gallons, whichever comes first. This period may vary depending on the usage of the filtered water.
How many filtration stages does this system have?
The G2P600 has two composite filters with 5-stage filtration. The CF filter uses a sediment PP membrane and an activated carbon block to
to reduce rust, sediment and organic matter. The MRO filter uses an RO membrane with a filtration accuracy of 0.0001 μm, a
PP sediment membrane, an activated carbon block and a PET pleated membrane to capture TDS, atrazine, salt, nitrates, PFAS, fluoride and heavy metals, etc.
Does the device work with hot/cold water?
Yes, you can connect another device to the RO system as long as it meets the following requirements: 1. It can handle the water outlet pressure of the
Reverse osmosis system should operate at a pressure of 30-40 psi. Otherwise, various problems may occur, such as the RO system stopping frequently.
2. It can be connected to the PE outlet pipe of the reverse osmosis system which has a diameter of 1/4".
premium filtration performance
- First sediment PP membrane: Reduces rust, sediment, suspended solids and other large particles.
- High quality activated carbon block: Reduces chlorine, organic matter, taste and odor, etc. Second PP membrane for sediment: Reduces rust, sediment, suspended solids and other large particles.
- High precision 0.0001 micron reverse osmosis membrane: Reduces TDS, chloramine, lead, salt, atrazine, fluoride, nitrates, PFAS, etc.
- Post-activated carbon block: Reduces taste and odor and improves the taste of the water.
- PET pleated membrane: additionally filters out large particles.
WD-G2CF
- Sediment PP membrane + activated carbon block Reduces sediment, rust, suspended solids, chlorine, taste and odor.
WD-G2CF
- Reverse osmosis membrane + sediment PP membrane + activated carbon block + PET pleated membrane Reduces TDS, lead, salt, atrazine, fluoride, nitrates, PFAS, etc., also filters out large particles and improves water taste.
Fine pore diameter
- The RO membrane has a pore diameter of 0.0001 μm, which does not allow large molecules or ions to pass through. Therefore, it can reduce most of the contaminants in the water.
600 GPD fast water flow
- This G2P600 RO system has a water flow rate of 0.42 gal/min, which is 12x more efficient than traditional reverse osmosis systems.
2:1 low runoff ratio
- When dispensing 2 cups of pure water, only 1 cup of waste water is produced.
- Compared to traditional RO water purifiers with water tank, the G2P600 reverse osmosis system saves 600% more water.
A notice:
- Please refer to this diagram and note that you will need to drill a hole in your countertop to install the smart faucet (this step is not necessary if your countertop already has a hole).
- Additionally, an adapter will be attached to your household water line to connect it to the RO system's drain line and the water supply line.
- Electricity is required to operate the reverse osmosis system.
- We do not recommend using well water as a source for our RO systems. We do not recommend connecting the tankless RO system to a refrigerator or ice maker.
- It is highly recommended that you install our RO system using the components supplied by Waterdrop. Installing the system with parts or accessories not supplied by Waterdrop may cause the system to malfunction or shorten the life of the system/filter.
Upgraded reverse osmosis system
- With Waterdrop's improved water treatment technology, the G2P600 reverse osmosis system can meet the water needs of large families and even small businesses.
Tankless design
- This tankless under sink water filter system saves 70% of under sink space and avoids recontamination, giving you pure and clear water.

pure water to wastewater rate
Drain ratio stands for the ratio of wastewater and purified water dispensed by a RO system. For example, the 3:1 drain ratio means it uses up a
gallon of wastewater for every 3 gallons of pure water you get.
